Warehouse managers have used Pallet Control Caps in a variety of different ways. One of Cee-Jay’s customers uses Pallet Control Caps to cut down on breakage in their warehouse. They save hundreds of dollars each year. Not to mention the increase in employees efficiency.

Before developing and implementing a system to cut down on breakage, they were having issues with :

• Employees being forced to rip open packages to get access to the UPC code in order to count inventory or pick using the Voice Pick System.
• Loaders and Inventory Coordinators having a difficult time scanning packages that are not shelled, single serve or utilize an LTTS Pallet Tag.

This caused increased breakage, loss in employee productivity and poor housekeeping in the warehouse.

Their solution was to adhere bar codes for product identifiers onto the surface of Pallet Control Caps. Pallet Control Caps with UPC codes are then placed on pallets.  The bright color, size and unique shape makes the identifiers easy to see and move as the pallet is depleted.

This minimizes breakage and leads to better housekeeping in the warehouse as pickers/counters do not need to break open cases in order to gain access to the UPC code.

This system is perfect for warehouses with limited racking for magnetic bar code identifiers and free standing pallet pick facings.
